One important area in which Amerika fears a threat from China is in the Hi-Tech industries, especially A.I. in which most people believe China holds the lead. But these companies have ties with mainland China, so they might be a valuable industrial intelligence asset.
I just dunno why Amerika is so keen on Artificial Idiocy, they don't seem to be short of the real stuff.
