I think this has been the plan since BEFORE 10/7/23. Mossad has a reputation as the most thorough and most ruthless of spy agencies, and Gaza has been the most spied-upon people in the world. Seems unlikely they really were asleep at the switch and didn't know this was coming. Add in how much it benefited them, as long as they didn't mind sacrificing 1000 Israelis, to get the international justification for kicking off the campaign.
But it's not just resettling Gaza (and eventually the West Bank with ethnically pure Jews--they also want to exploit the offshore gas fields without giving any money to Palestinians, and to build a canal to compete with the Suez, planned to run along the northern border of Gaza.
Israel was completely willing to sacrifice all of those taken prisoner on Oct. 7 merely to keep them from becoming leverage in hostage negotiations, ie. the Hannibal Directive. Sacrificing people, even Jews, to maintain and advance the Zionist colony has been standard practice since (and during) WWII.
