Nope, your not allowed to make your own definitions for a word. Genocide is about KILLING off most or all of a population. Displacement does not qualify.

Clearly, Israel is NOT attempting genocide of the people who call themselves Palestinians as, if one were to believe the numbers put forth by the Hamas Health Agency of 40k killed, that number is only approximately 1.5% or so of the total Gazan population pre-Oct.7th, which is nowhere near large enough to be considered a "mass extermination"
As for your cite of the UN definition in Wikipedia, as a bleeding heart organization always looking for contributions to help some downtrodden group or another, the UN chose to flexibly extend the meaning of genocide to the degree that the word covers all sorts of harms that do not match the standard meaning of the word in degree or in focus. In other words, the UN definition is bogus.
But if you people insist on using a word with many meanings, perhaps you could qualify it by stating that you are using the UN definition and not the OED or most others definition.
