From that perspective, if I don't understand the meaning of 'social liberalism' enough to give an opinion, it would follow that the meaning of 'individual/classical liberalism' presents another layer of challenge that would impede my comprehension of what you are trying to explain,
I would suggest the K.I.S.S approach (Keep it Simple Stupid) and since I can easily wear the Stupid label, try to explain as simply as possible what you mean in your last sentence, and unless you can use terms even a stupid person can understand (me) I wouldn't want you to waste your time.
