I thought I heard an innuendo in that rant suggesting all "conservative" marriages are built on rape. Shame on you, Caitlin.

Do you yet begin to realize in your quest for moral superiority and the virtue crown, that you have long since beat this topic beyond death and into numbness? The wisdom to know when traction is lost. Where is that?

I know I didn’t appreciate that either. And I’m not conservative

Caitlin is still a social liberal in many ways.

Some of her side comments bother me too,

But I force myself to ignore them usually because the thrust of the article is good.

"Caitlin is still a social liberal in many ways."

Howard...Words, in and of themselves, are limiting... which is why dialogue is infinitely more important than censorship. You can always try to change someone's mind, unless you have censored it.... Silence is not always golden, and more often self-indulgent.

I'll be honest

I'm not here to change those committed to social liberalism but to offer people a choice of a different liberalism

Example... "social liberalism' is a term which means almost nothing to me, although it might mean something profound for others. If you ask one hundred people as to the meaning of 'social liberalism', you may receive one hundred different interpretations. Another example... at one time to be a 'liberal' in the U.S.A. was shunned, while at the same time 'liberals' made up the governing party in Canada. i.e., words, in and of themselves, are self-limiting .......

Social liberalism occurred as an opposition to individual/classical liberalism

Unfortunately social liberals pretty much has trashed individual liberalism in the process to "make room" for what they consider social rights

When reading the first part I joked to myself “C’mon Caitlin, surely some conservative couples enjoy sex.” The ending lines kinda took it next level.

Perhaps the ending lines refer to anyone who doesn’t, knowing what we know, “put up a fight” or engage in the “struggle” against all we know is wrong. I dunno. Altogether, Caitlin wrote another great piece.

I don't know about you, but man we're sure going way the fuck backwards in this country. And the Republican politicians (mostly entitled, old, corrupt white men) are leading the way.

Yes, Caitlin can't stop her inner liberal socialist from escaping occasionally.

Walden, I suggest you re-read what Caitlin wrote and maybe you could come back with an accurate, intelligent, and rational understanding of what she wrote.
