Completely agree! I really appreciate Caitlin's "open" policy of fostering diverse opinions - I have learnt so much from so many of the contributers to the comments section. I came to realize (a few decades ago) that a formal education (especially in science) seems inadequate to truly understand many of the complexities of the world and how it truly works. I currently believe that history, psychology, philosophy and sociology (amongst others) are equally important - and the many commentators with diverse backgrounds help address some of the voids in my education/knowledge.

Recently I'm trying to listen to H. Arendt's lectures, but her heavy german accent makes it twice more difficult. She's got something deeply important to communicate, but it requieres insane level of focus, it really, to me, sounds as she speaks german using english words.
