hm, they might invoke 'security reasons' now to keep biden from actual public appearances without teleprompters and any 'unscripted' speech, add some powerful medication, ... plus taking away the spotlight, quelling the recalcitrant donors in the wings, ... i think it will help that cause anyway.
My views are different - this unsuccessful attack on Trump (a creature that I detest wholeheartedly) is one of the best things to happen for the Trump campaign AND one of the worst things to happen for the Biden campaign.
Now Trump can legitimately claim himself to be a "victim". I don't see any way that the Biden campaign can benefit from this (but then again, I'm not in politics - so what do I know?)
of course i agree that this is a major boon for the trump side of this circus. but the dems can also benefit and they both benefit from the attention (taken away from 3rd parties and ongoing unpleasant issues). they're still in the same team, although team trump may have to put a break on it somehow to avoid winning too 'bigly'. still time for lots of surprises and unexpected plot turns.
I don't think the 3rd parties were ever (even remotely) a serious enough threat for the establishment.
The real problem is that peoples' fickle attention/focus will be diverted away from the most important issue for humanity right now (the ongoing Genocide of Palestinians) IMHO. The other problem (minor) will be Conspiracy Theorists crawling out of the woodwork to analyze this event (we already see examples of that right here today), which will further divert people's limited attention spans/energy away from focusing on Palestine (and Ukraine).
yeah, americans are indeed firmly tied in the duopoly game. and yes, this provides another excuse to not pay attention and navel gazing. besides gaza and ukraine mr ritter's plan to mobilize a million people against nuclear armageddon will also suffer setbacks from the continuous spectacles and rabbit-holes. the future's so bright, we gotta wear shades...
