Not surprised at all. I am coming to understand just how much propaganda the US gov't has fed it people over the years. I recently watched a great documentary about Iran that opened my eyes there. I will continue to learn about China and Russia as well. It's sickening how the people of America have been lied to, although if we all practiced due diligence and looked into things ourselves, we would see the lies for what they are.
Once you really believe a lie, it's very difficult to see otherwise unless you choose to search out the truth.
If elections could really change the situation, they would be banned immediately.
