Well, i do hope so. But in Judaism, biblical interpretation was always deferred to our elders and their wisdom and commentary. Starting with the Mishnah and then the Talmud. I don't sympathize with the Hasidim much but they do have it right on this issue. Also, what one of the greatest rabbis Hillel the Elder said, "What is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow: this is the whole Torah; the rest is the explanation; go and learn." Netanyahu, the whole AIPAC billionaire set have desecrated and used Judaism to evil ends and bent Israel into a corrupt theocractic dictatorship. No worse, no better than the Mullah Khomeini and the abuses of what Islam represents.
I was thinking of Proverbs 6-16-19, for example which is pretty explicit. Also, "passing children through the fire to Moloch" mentioned I think in 2 Kings, which would certainly be a accurate metaphor for killing them in war, is said to be an abomination, but I suppose it could be complained that that is subject to interpretation. (I don't know enough about Islam to comment on it.)
Actually, they are forbidden by Scripture.
