Not right now and it won't be in the same way either. But we are still all being lied to and manipulated.

So what, Susan? Why don’t you stop arguing about who is more pitiful and go DO something. The brave have started the resistance, now you can follow along. I support gypsy’s attempt to deal with the gut wrenching shame and guilt at being an American right now but your saying we are all Palestinians and trying to excuse yourself that way is just disgusting!

Bad mouthing each other solves nothing.

Please pass this on in a spirit of unity:

NO FLY ZONE OVER GAZA NOW!!!

Hi Susan, yes the replies to your comment went somewhere else! I think we are all Palestinian in 3 ways.

We are all one, life on Earth, Earthlings.Specifically we are all African homo sapiens, We don't have to a pig unable to turn round for her entire adult life to feel her pain. We don't have to a Palestinian child being bombed ourselves to feel her fear (we're not in business of ranking suffering; but my mum was an 8 year old in London during the Blitz, her gran's house had the front wall blown off as was her school's roof, they had class in each other homes, and her family huddled under the stairs when the siren went off. I was near the dead guy killed at Victoria station by the IRA in 1991; what's happening in Gaza is not completely out of my experience). Humans have a powerful natural capacity to empathise. It takes years of eduction and conditioning to knock it out of us!

We're all Palestinians in that we're all oppressed by hegemonic patriarchy in some way. Especially men, taught not to express emotion and to prove themselves by going against their own souls. Though we're not ranking suffering; that's the worst.

We're all Palestinians but we're also all Israelis. Look what happened to some of the proud Jewish victims. They became shameful oppressors. I'm not saying that will happen to Palestinians but victim and oppressor is in all of us, it doesn't depend on nationality nor religion, it depends on what happened to us to make us that way.

There will be a march for Palestine on Armistice day in London. This is already being hyped as a desecration of the fallen dead in the wars. Undoubtedly some paid agitators are going to throw some punches at some war veterans. The unhelpful emotion of guilt over Gaza etc, guilt for being western, makes us want to do something, but i'm not sure that marching and creating more media fodder will help.

I know that guilt is being used to control us like they did with covid.

Thank you. You explained my meaning better than I could. I agree that we are all also Israelis altho I had not thought of it quite that way before. We are all humans on this earth together. All of us. When we do horrible things. When we do great things.
