I’m finding it very hard to go on in this horrible world; tell me I’m going to die tomorrow, and I’ll reply I hope so.

What makes it even worse is that I live in the godforsaken nation whose “government” makes it all possible. And all I can do is continually complain to congresspeople who could give a shit less because they don’t wish to lose campaign contributions from AIPAC.

Where I would prefer to be right now is Gaza. To help. Doing ANYTHING; digging in rubble for bodies, trying to comfort in some small way those who have lost family members, even helping out at overworked hospitals.

Instead of my comfortable home.

We should ALL feel that way. To give up our safe, secure lives and see what hell on earth is like.

Because we deserve it.

Don’t grieve too much—the revolution has started! Oct 7th ignited the fire and people are taking action to the light of that fire. Reading Common Dreams there are so many stories of resistance—one of the best in Seattle where protesters stopped weapons from being loaded on a ship destined for Israel and after the longshoreman’s union refused to cross a picket line, they had to bring in the fucking army to do the loading. And then the local Indian tribe used their canoes to keep the vessel in port. Damn baby!!! Don’t get all weepy now, go join them!!!

Why don't we hear about THAT in the news?

Rhetorical question, no need to reply.

(But I will look it up; do you have any links perhaps?) Thank you!

Can you imagine Rachel Madcow covering this? Gawd, she’d look like she swallowed a dick! (I know, too crude, but she broke my heart with her sellout.)

It’s on Common Dreams. They aren’t the most radical newspaper but they are very good.

Here is my suggestion to you and everyone reading this.

Post everywhere you can this message:

NO FLY ZONE OVER GAZA NOW!!!

Here is the TRUE HISTORY of what has happened in Israel since 1948. Listening to it will give you some context. The GENOCIDE happening now is not new; it has been going on, although on a somewhat smaller scale, since 1948:

Gaza in Crisis: Noam Chomsky & Ilan Pappe - Audiobook - Chapters 3 and 4 of 8

May God Bless you and Guide you in this dark time.

I agree. How do we get there to just comfort people. I too would rather die than watch these endless wars.

Jenny, I have racked my brains trying to figure out a way to get there and I just can’t do it.

Egypt is out. Jordan is out. All I can hope for is to hear of a humanitarian flotilla and request that I join it…

I have thought about this but you or anyone would not get close.

It seems to me that who we really need to change is us. Without US money love and guns, Israel wouldn’t last 2 weeks. And we can get close to the White House. We can kick our Congress critters asses. Code Pink is an incredibly brave and tenacious fighter of the Empire. And even tho it’s Davis and Goliath, in the end guess who wins?

... and you're paying for it! Large amounts of your tax money goes to Israel (for no obvious justifiable reason) which means they can spend it on lobbying (bribing) Congress.

Hi Jonathan

I’m not paying my taxes this year as a “conscientious objector “. If the IRS tries to fine me, good luck getting blood outta this turnip! Put me in jail. I’ll have lots of time to relax and read, not to mention three hots and a cot 😉

What you suggest will never become a reality, but contributing to Anera will help and I've contributed to them for many years. https://www.anera.org/
