I guess they come up with twenty stories like this, put them out on the Internet, and after a day or so see what works. I can tell you from personal experience with music that what will or will not catch on with the public is very unpredictable.

If you've ever been on a sailboat (or even near one) you'd know that it would be impossible for deep sea divers to use it as a platform to pull off the mining of the NordStream pipelines. They don't even have enough space for the length of anchorage chain you'd need to keep in position. And their size? Sheesh!! Yeah, whoever came up with the six people on the sailboat story obviously never has been sailing before. Sad thing is, lots of people will be talked into believing it because they want some story where the Americans aren't the baddies.
