I spent a lot of time around older adults growing up, many in their 70s and 80s. Mostly cogent, lucid, the largest denominator was a sense of perspective, more ingrained than perception. After growing up and becoming preoccupied with my own life; without knowing the impetus, I noticed subtle changes. Most of them were gone; but the next group seemed less assured, less independent, maybe less optimistic. It’s only gotten worse; the more freedom they relinquish, more is taken. The more they go to the doctor, the worse they get. More shots; then nursing homes, independence slips away. Everyone’s so tied up doing busy work, there’s no one there to reap the benefit of their experience. We have an experience gap, or chasm that only benefits those in charge.

The sad state of humanity’s socially-engineered degradation over time...
You never know when they’re listening.
Don’t give up. You never know who you’ve helped.
Action, not words. Good strategy.
