That's a valid point yet I managed that may be because I actually did get a very good public education. My 6th grade social studies teacher taught us about the importance of good journalism and what good journalism is. She also taught us to pay attention to world events. My parents also encouraged critical thinking by making me look up the information I sought instead of just giving me the answers. There's also the fact that journalism in the US has gone to shit. I remember seeing pictures of the Gaza open air prison๐Ÿ˜ข And their situation was reported on accurately. I have watched the world to a blind eye to them my entire life๐Ÿคฌ For the record I'm 57.

Iโ€™m glad you had an open minded upbringing. We mustโ€™ve had the same social studies teacher ๐Ÿ˜‚, because I refer to him as the one who opened my curiosity about how everything works and how everything is interwoven. Iโ€™ve always believed in giving grace to the ignorant is more effective than being argumentative and thatโ€™s why I believe I can help my therapist as much as she helps me. Thank you for this conversation!

Me too. Lol. My social studies teacher was amazing. In fact pretty much all of my teachers were. I count myself very lucky๐Ÿ€ I'm glad your social studies teacher was awesome too๐Ÿ˜Š I totally agree but one must be able to establish if someone is being willfully ignorant, creationists and flat Earthers spring to mind, or if they just didn't have access to the needed information. The first person won't be willing to learn while the other person will welcome the new knowledge. Cool๐Ÿ˜Ž I hope you have an awesome day๐Ÿค—
