David, maybe because we hang out here instead of really organizing...just wondering.

Actually AJF, I call myself a dissident and have since the Vietnam war, when I joined protests in Sydney and climate protests in later years.

While "hanging out here" I've encountered many good new ideas and strategies for taking actions - 'course, they need to be adapted to local laws and regulations.

Talking to, and listening to other people is never a total waste of time.

David, my apologies. I agree, and posted that comment out of frustration. I live in a state surrounded by highly propagandized people who consider themselves quite intelligent. I too have been "aware" since the 70's but it seems those that were in that camp back then are no longer thinking critically.

Believe me AJF, I share that frustration. I live in regional Qld. in a town that for many decades has been dependent on coal mining, and to a large extent still is. Most people, at least publicly, deny climate change is happening and many drive around town in monster 4wd penis extensions.
