"We ourselves need to find some way to hang on to our humanity." presupposes that humanity is something to hang onto. According to some reports, whether or not they are accurate is anyone's guess, I read that there are approx 100 armed conflicts at the moment. That seems almost absurd, but then if so, then what humanity are we talking about? How do people become "totally corrupt with no morals"? Perhaps such a question may have no answer? I think one answer lies right in our own back yards..---- i.e., when we allow humans to be homeless in every country on the planet, we are at war with the homeless, a condition that may become real for everyone unless we find a way to avoid electing s-called leaders whose positive qualities are undetectable. Who said "The world is a global village, and what happens in one part of the world happens everywhere.... If a nuclear war occurs, and Trump could easily bring that on.... i.e., my button is bigger than your button", it will make Gaza look like a walk in the park.
