See, you didn’t answer my question(s). You don’t answer a question with a question. That’s just basic avoidance. I determine when I am being lied to or not through my experience and the data I have acquired while mucking about on this little blue-green marble.
You are heading into an area where truth and lies don’t exist with the questions you posed and how you framed them. Not only that, but you are suggesting that truth is subjective. Try that reasoning with your bank or on a mathematical test.
As for tolerance, there is a saturation point as with anything else.
There are still many open questions regarding reality and the nature of what we are and why even reality exists. Open ontological and metaphysical questions. To assume you have it all figured out and are intolerant of other's beliefs, when the questions are still open questions - is the height of arrogance and ignorance. Religious (and I include Atheism in that category) intolerance is despicable and often behind the most heinous acts against humanity.
Lol what part of I don’t know/we don’t know tripped you up when I first stated it. That’s why I said I enjoy the mystery. The ones who say they have the correct view through religion or atheism ( I’d call that a religion too) are the arrogant ones who think they have it all figured out. You can’t get much more open minded than stating I don’t know.
Patterns and systems do exist and they are just as objective as 1+1=2.
Yes - the know-it-alls. And then to assume science has figured it all out. Science doesn't even know how we can perceive or experience the color of red yet. On the other hand, believing (without critical thinking) in religious scripts written 2,000 years ago appears just as foolhardy to me.
So, as I’ve tried to illustrate that the pattern is consistent with a lie how or why should I tolerate being lied to? Do you enjoy being lied to?
Who determines who or what is being lied to? Certainly Atheists/Materialists don't have a corner on "the truth". Nor do Christians or Hindus.
On some subjects, tolerance is rational and acceptable; intolerance is cruel and controlling.

Well, hey! I have to dash. I enjoyed the dialogue with you and hope you have a pleasant rest of your day and a great weekend!
