The Russian culpability was made up from the ravings of some buddies at Fireeye, who've been Russia Huntin' their own fantasy bad guy. They're just a couple of CrowdStrike wannabes with their Fancy Bear knockoff. The source of the Russia Hoax that CrowdStrike was forced forced to tell the Senate Investigation Committee that they just made it up. There was no Fancy Bear.

Who fell for this lie?

On the other hand, what's going on is really very big. Every part of the US government is is fully occupied and has been since March 2020. Everything on their servers has been read. There is no way to get rid of them because they've built an unlimited number of invisible entrances.

They've been embedded as network admin in the servers of 18,000 SolarWinds' customers. This includes 425 of the US Fortune 500 companies, and the top ten US telecom companies. Solarwinds Network Management software is used by some of the most important Federal entities and agencies , including the US Military, the Pentagon, the Department of Justice, the State Department, NASA, NSA, US Postal Service, NOAA, and the Office of the President of the United States, for starters.

At first, I was surprised to read that they were occupying servers at the US Treasury, but in subsequent days we've learned there are other affected agencies, including the US Department of State, US NTIA, US NIH, DHS-CISA, and the US Department of Homeland Security.

Now, five days later, we discover that the networks of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the US Department of Energy (DOE) may have been under surveillance since March 2020. The NNSA is government agency responsible for maintaining and securing the US nuclear weapons stockpile. Other targets of espionage operations include the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the Office of Secure Transportation, the Richland Field Office of the DOE, and Sandia and Los Alamos national laboratories.

We are occupied.

I see it as a real-time demonstration of US vulnerabilities at home, while the US is using weapons of war to terrorize the rest world into obedience to its Rule of Global Empire.

There appears to be little, if any, malicious activity. No leaks. No sabotage. No threats. No demands. Their intrusion into the Department of Energy makes it crystal clear that the hackers were able to access the networks belonging to the U.S. national security enterprise. A DOE spokesperson said that the perpetrators have not attempted to get into critical defense systems.

The Occupation is simply a new watchful "presence" in the black heart of capitalism. The Occupiers cannot be eradicated without rebuilding the entire digital infrastructure. It could even be one hacker, who has been inside the Machine, sorting through the data for the past nine months. A virtual standoff.
