There's nothing complicated in the Middle East. Israel was created to block any efforts at peaceful coexistence. This was done to manipulate the incredible riches that the West wanted to control. Israel had nothing to do with Judaism other than to make an excuse to have a major military base that was controlled by Western powers. It morphed into something far more monstrous. Until this monster is brought to an end there will be no peace. That's the way it was designed. Israel is not Judaism. It is Zionism and Zionism is only about conquest and world domination. Before Israel there were Jews and Arabs living side by side in peace in the Middle East. Since this country's (Israel) creation there has been no peace. We have been lied to.

Modern day Israel was created by the British and American Empires within the British colony of Palestine. The Palestinian petroleum fields were strategically important for the British and American steamships that burned raw petroleum to fire their boilers without concern for the toxic pollution they created.

As a matter of convenience, it’s easier to control the limited land of Israel than all of Palestine. Similarly, the British Empire created Kuwait around an oil field rather than attempting to conquer a huge section of the continent.

It may surprise some readers to learn that some merchant ships still burn raw petroleum as their cheapest fuel. It’s called “bunker” fuel because it was originally stored in the ships’ old coal bunkers.

The Brits also managed to get most of the sea coast and river delta. Very efficient. 😈 Thanks for the background! It’s important.

"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:

"Britons never will be slaves."

The British Navy sailed its warships, globally, to expand the Empire.

Today, the US Navy rules the waves — maybe. But the US Navy has been transitioning to nuclear powered ships that generate electricity to operate electric motors to drive their propulsion systems. The US Army is working to transition its land-based vehicles to hydrogen fuel cells power. So, the importance of petroleum is diminishing.

For more than 110 years, all of the wars in the Middle East have been about access to fossil fuels that will soon become unnecessary.

Only a few of the million Palestinians were nomads. Photos at palestineremembered.com

And a nation where only citizens of a certain race or religion have basic rights or legal access or can drive on certain public roads is not a democracy - it’s an apartheid state.

You're not brilliant or erudite or intelligent. You're just an ignorant moron devoid of historical knowledge spewing Zionist propaganda, and in love with Right to Rapists; in other words, you're a psychopathic pervert.

If you're replying to Rebel Nun, you are completely off your rocker. She pointed out, accurately, that Palestinian society was NOT mainly nomadic prior to the Balfour Declaration as has been wrongly stated by another poster.

Mark B, Leaving aside everything else, I feel sad for you.

That bombing the bombed; starving the starved; more than 50,000 deaths - a very conservative figure in my opinion - horrific injuries meted out to the children and no respite for the injured; hospitals, schools, all infrastructure destroyed, reduced to rubble; deliberate killing of health care workers; land theft; and untold misery for a besieged people; in fact crimes against humanity - doesn't seem to register with you.
