The 9/11 conspiracy is that it was done to justify war in the middle east and I believe that reasoning. The minute this war started I said the same thing, the Hamas attack made no sense for anyone except Israel and the US. A simple plan: the intelligence agencies move their mercenaries from Syria to Gaza and execute the Hamas attack. Hamas and Palestine celebrate thinking someone is trying to liberate them. Israel gets the justification it needs to commit genocide in Gaza which they have embraced with gusto. The US gets its justification for war with Iran and Syria which it has wanted for decades.

Is it really so far fetched that governments would sacrifice their own people to advance their geopolitical ambitions ?

I heard that Egypt warned Israel 2/3 days before the attack (whether this is true or not I don't know) if it is then in my opinion Israel waited for it to happen then pounced on the Palestinians. Now we expect nothing but the annihilation of the Palestinian people and more war from the US. To my mind Biden and Netanyahu are

complicit in war crimes.

It’s true according to the times of Israel they’re the ones that ran the story.

They are all war criminals. And the International Court of Justice ( the irony!), shelters them.

The US is not a member of the International Court! I don't know if the Israelis or the Palestinians are.

I agree, Hamas seems to have been surprised at their success so either this shows an Israeli awareness it was coming and complicity or the exact opposite; that Israelis were very unprepared and complacent, which seems the more unlikely.

Isn't it also quite likely that there are CIA or Israeli agents in Hamas itself? The attack and the supposed glee seems to only make sense in this light. Surely Hamas would know what their actions would cause and what was in store for Palestinian civilians.

IRA bombers were indeed reportedly delighted when their operations were a success but they didn't have the certainty that the reprisals against the Irish would be the equivalent of the war on Terror. Imagine if the British, with the full support of the West, had responded to the mainland IRA bombings by barricading the Irish and their children in a small area so they couldn’t leave by land, air or sea, cutting off their water and electricity and bombing 200 civilian targets by night?

There was a very informative interview on Useful Idiots a day or so ago that mentioned, for the first time I can recall, that there are other armed militants in Gaza who are not part of Hamas. If so, one might well wonder what those folks could have been doing when suddenly the doors to the prison were opened.

It’s not far fetched at all and it’s ISRAELI POLICY to kill their own soldiers less they become prisoners of war. Not even the US is that fucked up.

We have to remember who are the big winners. Yes the Empire gets its wish of an excuse for a war on the infidel and petrol rich countries, but who is stirring up the pot, planting those seeds of doubt that the US is no longer top dog, that Uncle Sam is looking tired and sending him into a military rage? Whose share price is going up and up? Who seems to be arming Hamas possibly via Ukraine with America weapons? Could Hamas have been offered them some support?

“War is the health of the State. It automatically sets in motion throughout society these irresistible forces for uniformity, for passionate cooperation with the government in coercing into obedience the minority groups and individuals which lack the larger herd sense.”

I disagree - everyone starts off with the belief in the war aims, but over time, when the blood and guts are flying, the ordinary soldiers see the officers for what they are, just jumped up ordinary people, no better than them. Then after the war comes the reckoning with the stupid leaders who allowed it to happen - hence post WW1 women's emancipation & revolutions, WW2 labour governments, the new deal. Will our post WW3 solutions be any better?

Hence pushing the 9/11 trope (complex) is actually not a good idea for the purveyors of death and destruction because it connects to ideas of conspiracy and betrayal by the home authorities -- which may turn out to have some basis in facts.

Exactly. Every single time there is a hint that people are no longer buying the bullshit guess what a war happens! Bidens first request "more money for Ukraine"! I can't believe I am part of the same species.

i wondered if the " White Helmets " were there at the time the attack occured. and whether they coordinated with Netanyahu to encourage him to stand down and let it happen, because that is what he did.
