One thing Americans cannot understand (because of continual brainwashing) is there are different types of communism and socialism.
I live here in France: For the moment we have Liberal Socialism which means we have free healthcare/schools/elderly peoples homes in each small town.
One of the reasons that FACISM won't work here in France is because the minute our healthcare starts crumbling (which it is now) we will have a revolution.
I would add that nothing is free except for, now anyway, the intangibles, nature, etc. Someone has to pay. As far as education, homeschooling is the best option. That isn't possible for some of course. So public education is needed. Property tax pays for public schooling in this state. The problem is preventing woke marxist D.E.I. and CRT garbage from continuing the destruction of western civilization.
There is nothing liberal about social credit scores. Or harvesting organs from prisoners. Or brutally suppressing people in Hong Kong and Macau. Russian communism lasted from 1917-1990. Communism collapsed in eastern Europe also.

Of course. Inevitably tax payers pay. The richer you are the more tax. This is fine by me so that others not so well off get help.
Americans don't want to pay tax........you get what you have.
when you add up all the taxes/permits/licenses Americans pay about 40% of their income. Welfare recipients pay nothing.

Jean Raspail warned France in his book the Camp of the Saints a generation ago. It fell on deaf ears.

Yes......quite right. France is lost BUT we are not 'milksops' like in the USA.
Take away our healthcare and schooling.........you aint seen nothing yet.
