I would have said those things you mentioned, except that starting with them is putting the horse before the cart, they need leading up to for most people.

Quite right - I'd never marry a fool! Getting involved with a fool in my own foolish youth, sure, but marrying them, thankfully I had a few lucky escapes there.
Mind you, on the subject of fools, I may have inadvertently shared the wrong link, as I'd intended to start you at part 1, not part 3. Part 4 is probably more relevant to what we were talking about above. Likewise it resonates with what you just said about putting horses before carts - there is so much sort of preamble or background or whatever required for people to get to that point of understanding. Most of it is psychology of course. It's one thing that's been delaying me doing my long series, simply knowing where or how to start.
