To this we have to add the bizarre happenings at the peak arts body - the dumping of the artist it had formally selected to represent Australia at the Venice Biennale. Apparently the multimedia artist chosen had done an artwork ages ago depicting the - now dead - Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
I am constantly reminded how thoroughly Australia has embraced this insanity.
An exhibit at the National Gallery included a tapestry features symbols of indigenous peoples resistance to colonialism.
They censored part of an artwork about silencing indigenous people!
They felt it necessary to cover up an image of the Palestinian flag.
Apparently acknowledging the existence of Palestine is now hate speech.
