I must disagree with you on this:

"Don’t try to make Israeli atrocities about Judaism"

The Zionists and Israeli's themselves make - and justify - the atrocities based on Judaism. They claim that God gave the land ("One Israel") to the Jews and it says so in the Bible. They claim Jews are the "chosen people". That claim alone is far worse than "US Exceptionalism" that fuels US Imperialism. They call Palestinians "Amalek" and say the Bible tells them to slaughter them all. The Far Far Far right (fascists) in control of political and military power in Israel right now are dominated by these views of Judaism. Public opinion is overwhelmingly in support of the genocide.

Why should all this be ignored out of fear of undermining the Palestinian cause or being called an anti-Semite?

Yes, and that is precisely why CJ says what she does. Why would you believe anything a Zionist says?

Here's the Zionist rationale behind conflating themselves with "all Jews" and Judaism:

There are anti-Zionist Jews that support Palestine and there are Zionist Jews that support Israel. These two groups clash with each other and have a long history of conflicts. There were also anti-Zionist Jews before the creation of Israel that were against Zionist Jews. One (simplified) way of thinking about the differences and conflicts between these different Jewish factions is to think of it in terms of something like a Civil War. These two groups are at odds with each other. The non-Zionist Jews are fighting with the rest of the Palestinian supporters - and they are an important part of the fight against Zionist Jews - and they need our support since we (supporters of Palestine) share the same goals. So, the strategy of the Zionists to weaken an important part of their opposition (which is anti-Zionist Jews) is to confuse, conflate, and gaslight everyone into thinking that Zionism represents all Jews, that Zionism represents Judaism, that all that Zionists do is in the name of all Jews and Judaism. And this is blatantly FALSE. (There is a reason why "Not In My Name" was chosen as a slogan).

I hope my explanation makes sense to you (I didn't have enough time to formulate my answer in a more organized way).
