Now if you are really sick and hospitalized you better have an advocate. That's how bad it has gotten.

Well, I wound up in the hospital about 5 years ago, too many NSAIDS I guess, bad back, because I got a stomach bleed. I was there for 6 days. Never saw a doctor except when I first came in, endoscopy, after that no one to explain anything, not even a nurse. Hardly saw them, and Aids dropped off your food on the opposite side of the room, not knowing whether you could or couldn't get up to get it. Six days and no new linens for my bed, and no one knew whether it was dry or wet. Thank god for family. I have a degree in nursing gotten many years before and the actual care nurses provide now really sucks, and the Aids that have taken over the roll of what nurses use to do, don't! After Covid, a real down turn in available staff, not to mention all the deaths from sepsis due to this inadequate dirty care. Forget about nursing homes. now medicine is also big business and doctors don't even own their own practices. Everything is a money making machine in America.
