In the global world we have all come from somewhere......why is it that US citizens deride there origins in Europe but NEED to know where they come from?

In many cases: The Irish famine was caused by colonialism by the British BUT in the US you treated them like 2nd class citizens. The same with the Polish people/Ukranians.

I am not quite sure whom you are on about, but I was born in a pile of hay on the upper floor of a barn, and I lived much of my adult life in europe.
