The opioids crisis? The one which was deliberately created by the pharma companies and the FDA? That one?
I had a good friend die from an overdose of opioids prescribed by a doctor I lived with due to gross negligence. Heard it straight from the horse doctors mouth. Misdiagnosed a punctured lung for over a year from a motorcycle accident. Guess they found it during the autopsy. The doctor is psychiatrist specializing in addiction treatment with a GP practice. He got off with a pat on the back and told not to feel bad about it. Poor thing. RX opioids are good for business though - keep em coming back for more. Now I'm living with 2 more opium addicts. Neither one actually need them but opium does make you incredibly stupid and irrational. Almost functional, just how the government likes you, stupid and compliant. Now we have John Hopkins "researching" psylocibin as a "cure" for depression, PTSD and anxiety. Think of the money to be made! And we'll have a happy well adjusted society unable to think for themselves. It appears from the initial research that psylocibin makes a person more susceptible to suggestions. Like propaganda maybe? The "legal" drugs are just as dangerous as the illegal ones. The FDA clearly didn't do it's job in analysis of the pharma companies claim the opioids weren't addictive. And no one is held accountable. Well, maybe the Mexicans and the Chinese. And while we're at it let's legalize cannabis. It would be a shame to let all the research from MK ULTRA go to waste.
We've come a long way from the Brits using grog to keep the crew under control. So let's turn the country into one big opium den. Everyone can be happily oppressed and enslaved. Nothing to be concerned about.....
hm, brits and opium wars seemed a more obvious reference than grog. in the hands of empire everything turns into a weapon or commodity. peoples and cultures often 'managed' the substances quite well.
