I think many Christian activly support the Israel state because they are following their holy book which says god-son comes back only after Israel have full control of the region. These Christians hate every who does not believe exactly as they do and want them to spend eternity being tortured.

Honestly, awful people hang with horrible people and make up stories to justify it.

I've heard absolute glee from these types. "Oh it's happening - just like the bible!".

Absolutely crazy people. Ghouls. Most of my family.

It’s unbelievable that they’d believe they’re on the right side of the prophesy. If all this is indeed biblical prophesy, most westerners are definitely not going to be ‘saved’. I’d put my money on Bibi as the Antichrist in that mythology

Seriously, as a Christian, I do sometimes wonder whether the rule of Antichrist will be some sort of huge Zionist state or something. There are various things that could be seen as pointers in that direction. In addition to the humanitarian horrors, I mean the final elimination of Christians from the Holy Land, and Israel's links with Silicon Valley (AI, etc.), organ-harvesting, and so on.

However, that would all be best expressed as a novel, and I don't really go in for tying biblical prophecies to real-world events. My take is that Christians will know it when it happens.

I believe more in self fulfilling prophecy and that’s what terrifies me, the lunatics are running the asylum

Basically, once WWII rolled around, being seen as antisemitic made you an Ally Of Hitler, which is incredibly low status, even for low status types like evangelicals.

I think just Evangelical Christians.

That's Dispensationalism, which is one group within Evangelicalism. It only started in the 1820s, in Ireland, and became influential in the USA because of the Scofield Reference Bible and Moody College. It never existed before that date, and is not part of Catholicism, Orthodoxy, or much of Protestantism (especially outside the USA). Its influence even within US Evangelicalism has decreased lately, with people becoming sick of all the "Left Behind" stuff.

Even many non-Dispensationalist Christians support Israel, which is something that I, as a Christian, feel highly embarrassed about. They seem to have various motives.

John Nelson Darby is the person who came up with "the Rapture" and other such nonsense. Nothing biblical about it at all.
