The psychopaths ruling us all built vast underground citis to hide out from the apocalypse they are creating so it won't be the good and honest folks who survive but the bastards,, and back to square one of society ordered by a host of sociopaths. Rewind repeat, maybe forever as AI decides we are not worth preserving.
That seems to be the game plan of those psychopaths. However, a colony of parasites lurking deep underground who know nothing other than rapacious greed is, IMO, doomed to inevitable failure in short shrift. The survivors I spoke of are likely to be uncontacted tribes or those who society would regard as savages in the jungles of this world unless the terminator event is out & out thermonuclear war in which case there's an #ImmenselyGreaterReset in which we take no part & everything we've ever done crumbles to meaningless dust.
A temporary solution to buy us more time on this side of the apocalypse would be to find these underground nests & chuck a drop or two of mercaptans about, especially around any air intakes. That will render the nest uninhabitable & not allow the psychos any shelter from their planned gross villainy.
