I actually think the television does more lasting damage, for the simple reason that it is ubiquitous and unrelenting propaganda. Normalizing the inevitability of the universal bottom line. Every benefit has a cost; want that car? Sure you do, and you can drive home today for 4.75% over 5 years. Want to watch your favorite show? Then sit there and watch the commercials.

By handing the television broadcasting rights completely over to advertisers, the public is orphaned by the state, and molded and perverted by corporate agents who sow avarice, lust, depression and self-loathing. And, of course, God. God gets tax-free total access to the airwaves because it is the path of distraction and emotionalism.

This may no longer apply, but the USA was the only developed country to completely hand the airwaves, which are legally bound to operate “in the public interest,” over to private profiteers. And look what greed hath wrought!

Great point. It's been so ubiquitous our entire lives we don't realize its just another method of control by the Elite class. As is the long hard daily labor most people are subjected to a good part of their lives - as if this were an absolute necessity for life to continue.

Purposeful withholding abundance is part of that control...completely controlling all resources and metering them out with ever increasing costs is a clear economic enslavement policy while inflating the money supply through financial manipulation and corruption. And wages have stagnated sines the 70s unions have been busted if not fully corrupted and cost of living is three times higher now than it was just three years ago. and we have a government and media that's in full collusion with this fascism not to mention all main stream social media public commons also in league with the new censorship tyranny playing out.. this i have now video proof of..

What is sad is technology - especially robotics could reduce a lot of this slave labor (IMO) but instead the gains made in productivity are only being funneled to make the already obscenely rich, even richer. The kind of dystopia one used to only see in Sci Fi flicks.

I really think these people at the helm are so psychopath now with their God Complex that they will usher in the very dystopian future we all fear. It's obvious that want two class of people..the managers and the slaves.. The guards and the prison work force..

There was an article in forbs about counting the USA laws..they tried three times and failed there was just too many of them to count and concluded every one is a criminal.

And every day these "law makers" work to make more of them.

Truly we are living in an open air insane asylums.

Indeed..you seem well able to see past the chrade. I commend you because I think it takes a certain type of intellectual courage to see past the curtains they have errected to obscure the wizard behind the blue screen.

I always say..I don't take arsnic just to know how it tastes either..you have to know better then to let yourself be conned. The tv one way lie machine has warped mans perceptions of realty.

I was just in a conversation about Hollywood and the controversy around statements made by certain famous people about the predominant roll of certain groups who have the most power there.

If you talk about the power to shut you up about talking about the power to shut you up they will wield that power and control of society to shut you up.

So many people are under its spell.

And now most don't even know it.
