Caitlin is a Chomskite, and a damn good one.

Curtis Yarvin writer of the “gray mirror” substack is , I think, our new Noam Chomsky, our generation”s decoder.

As for “the most sophisticated propaganda apparatus ever seen”, yes, but please don’t give the people in the west to much credit. Ours is a performative concern for Ukrainians and Russians, we’ve become used to foreigners dying on our tv’s, so the cartoon of good guy Ukrainians versus bad guy Russians suits us perfectly. We don’t actually want to know, we are exhausted, it’s just another war, like another mass shooting of children, please lie to me , please tell me a nice story, good versus evil and then tell me we are on the side of good.

Now that I’ve gotten that unpleasantness over with, I can get back to my latte.

Power, the dingbats on the left, our over class, forbid the discussion of power, it is Gauche, it is their great lie, they tell us that we have moved on from that history. But we haven’t and America will descend into kinetic dispute and then the reality of power will flood back in. Liberals are going to get us all killed. Actually I’m 58, I probably won’t see it, but your children or grandchildren may one day face what Ukrainians are facing because of liberals.

"but your children or grandchildren will one day face what Ukrainians are facing because of liberals."

"liberals": what the hell does that term mean any longer? I want it banned from political discussion since it covers such a broad spectrum of political thought that it is meaningless.

Now if you want to replace "liberals" with "Oligarchy" your declaration makes sense.

I'd also like to see spell checkers fixed so that they would use "too" rather than "to" in the appropriate context. Really incredible how a missing "o" changes the context of a sentence.

I told someone in another discussion the other day, "That's the difference between progressives and liberals. Progressives want peace. So do liberals, but only if their guy wins.' They didn't get it, and asked how much Moscow was paying me.

I kind of like that.

But now that we watch the Congressional Progressive Caucus do absolutely nothing, I have to ask, "Just what does 'progressive' mean?"

Fail. There is no "left" in America and you show your true colors by claiming the Dems are "left." That is utter bollocks.

Over class? Since you object to the left, yes?

FWIW: left/right, totally meaningless in today's discussion of the political spectrum.

Jimmy Dore was asked, "What do you do when a Trump Voter wants to join our Union." He responded, "Declare VICTORY".

It would be a "good thing" if we'd stop using meaningless and undefined terms in a political debate that is really about class and the dictatorship of the Oligarchy. (Synonymous with Plutocracy, but if someone wants to educate me with an essay...)

The post Liberal Order substack uses scholarly references to the term liberal. I use it colloquially and while I subscribe to the post label order I admit I struggle with it. Professors Deneen Vermeulen and Pippen are debating ideas beyond my ken .

That said I agree with your point that it is now a class struggle and that our colloquial use of the terms liberal and conservative are misleading and probably intentionally misleading.

It depends on who and what you include as the Overclass. The folks in Washington are whores to their donors and as such they are part of the Overclass's rule but certainly do not have the ultimate power. The plutocracy has the ultimate power.

Only good news here is our children and imagined grandchildren will probably not have to worry about this since we’ll soon be extinct due abrupt climate change or collapse of industrial civilization - either one triggers the other.

70+ self-reinforcing feedback loops and an ice free Arctic will indicate the end of us and all wars. Arctic is likely to go ice free next year. We escaped again this year by a hair’s breadth.

But we don’t hear about that either in the so-called “liberal” media or youtube. (Because they are not liberal they are fucking fascist)

The thing is that currently this state of affairs should be meaning more food, not less. That might change in 20 years but for now we should be able to grow, grow, grow. So any food shortages now are manufactured ones.

Also the Arctic might be getting ready for an ice free summer but as I understand it the Antarctic is still gaining ice.
