They waited until we were all connected to the live Genocide seen by the world. 15 years ago, I doubt most of the world would have seen any of this. As the u.s. It was inevitable, given the fact that settler-colonialism ends in only 2 ways -> (1) Genocide and ethnic cleansing (as we see from history about North America), or (2) the colonizers are driven out (as France was in Algeria).
It would have happened (at some point in history or later) regardless of technology or other factors. If you study colonialism (and particularly settler-colonialism), then you would realize that there are only certain trajectories such scenarios can follow.
Interesting. The first time (I'm old) I had heard of Palestine was a neighbor of my Grandmother that I stayed with over the summer. Buzz was the local Post Master who had served in WW2. Buzz showed me the rifle bullet hole in his lower leg. Then began to talk of the current event in Palestine. 1967 war , the israeli war on Palestine. Buzz was most likely unusual understanding the colonization of Palestine by the u.k./u.s. Buzz most likely suffering from PTSD looking back on it was overwhelmed by the horror being committed by israel. My Uncles both served after WW2 in Berlin. They were teachers so accurate history was important as well as teaching me to play chess ha. I am grateful to them for showing me mass media didn't always tell the truth and to question what you read and hear. Thank you my friend. Max uses his skills to assemble an organization like his Great Grandfather was part of and................................. : )

That is ONE of the IMPORTANT connections that people seem to miss (or more likely not know about) - how Israel plays an integral role in Capitalism and money/finances for the U.S. Empire.
Someone needs to write an exhaustive book on this (but they'll likely get assassinated before they can complete it though...)
Many people saw genocide as it was from early on. But yes, the political climate was different, and the West was still regarded by most as a beacon of democracy and human rights (which it never was).
