Sorry Marcus I couldn't even pick up the thread to answer you and didn't know what you were referencing. My statement had nothing to do with what you said, but as a science teacher I don't bring God or religion into the classroom, and of course I don't think I can find answers about God through science. I was not raised in a religious home and became a Unitarian Universalist which pretty much doesn't tell you what to believe. I know that science could never explain some of the spiritual experiences I've had and to be honest I'm not interested in the Gods of various religions, nor their tenets and never have been. I go my own way, so to speak. I have no idea what religion you were raised in, or why you suffered anxiety from it's teachings. When I was 16 a friend invited me to some kind of religious gathering and I was game. It was crowded, standing room only. All I remember were people ranting and raving and some guy on stage was hopping around on one foot with a bible trust into the air with one arm, and for whatever the reason I panicked and ran all the way home. I think God resides in silence.
