Thank you for a personal perspective of a massively hyped and distorted historical episode. It may sound simplistic, but the critical difference between Kennedy and Biden is money. Kennedy’s father helped “find” the votes to put his son in the WH, and around the presidency of Clinton, the corroding effect of money had reached its pinnacle. Kennedy’s assassination augured the direction of America’s political establishment. When Clinton prostrated himself before oil and banking executives to assure them that Democrats were as loyal as Republicans to the authority of their power, democracy made a swift exit.
