When Eisenhower gave his MIC address shortly before he left office, the military was already a tool of corporate prerogatives. Are you familiar with Smedley Butler? His biography is the story of the illegitimate deployment of soldiers for corporate interests. He wrote, “... I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism.” His story is real history that doesn’t appear in HS textbooks.

Smedley Butler's "War Is a Racket" is an important read.

To be followed up with Randolph Bourne's "The State" essay, 1918. 'War is the health of the State'.

I followed this link and I actually remembered seeing some reference to him some time back. I see the "New York Times" was a rag clear back then! They dismissed his claim that he was approached by the elite to do a coup as "a laughable hoax". I see that clear back that far our military was being used for corporate security! Well the time for this shit to stop is now! We need to put the control of our children's and family members lives back in our control not some greedy psychopaths! We need to put together a demand letter and order these politicians to make it happen on their way out because they will not do shit unless We The People force them!
