Civilians were also killed when Israel fired into houses that Israeli's were hiding in, or were being held hostage Then as they say they dropped the charges of Hamas raping women and beheading children. It's not that Hamas didn't kill people and go on the attack, but many of the casualties were due to Israeli fighters. People have said they called it a terrorist attack to cover up Israel's botched response from it's military. ,
And the Balfour agreement was conjured up in Britain. Not by the British public, of course. But that went a long way to the establishment of the state of Israel. At the expense of the Palestinians.
