Indu, thanks for the discussion. Let me parse it.

"maybe we can use the word 'zionist Jewish lobby'"

That would be erroneous and misleading because not all the political objectives of the Jewish Lobby are related to Zionism. See my comment above that lists some of the concerns of this lobby that go beyond Zionism/Israel.

"we have been 'too nice', even in the face of intense suffering meted out to the Palestinians."

I wouldn't use the term "too nice" when the proper name of the Lobby in question is purposely suppressed by the Lobby in order to hide the identity of the people behind the Lobby and it helps the perpetrators conduct political action that induces profound suffering on the Palestinians, and it also severely damages our democracy, eroding our First Amendment Rights and forcing society to make expensive and unreasonable considerations uniquely for Jews at the expense of all others.

"I like to think that we are mindful of being respectful to one another and not cause harm or distress by using wrong speech."

You are saying that we should be respectful to people who intentionally lie and deceive in order to further their own wealth and power, to the immense suffering of innocent people. Should the Allies have shown such respect to the Nazis of Germany? Maybe you don't fully realize it, but Nazi Germany = Fascist Italy = Zionist Judaism. This is what we're up against. Instead of advocating respect for Jew Power, you are actually advocating that we worship Jews as superior beings. Also, your concern to "not cause harm or distress by wrong speech" is twisted logic. The correct speech is "The Jewish Lobby," and the wrong speech is that which this Lobby has brainwashed our society with.

Do a Google Ngram study on the terms, "The Jewish Lobby," and "The Israel Lobby." You'll find that in the late 1970's, the term "The Jewish Lobby" was growing in use. It peaked around 1980, but by about 1982, the term "Israel Lobby" took over and has increased to extremely large levels. I myself recall the use of the term, "The Jewish Lobby" routinely seen in the news, especially in the news that quoted what Israeli Jews were publishing. But the Jewish political leaders soon realized that people were not liking the control of our government that this Lobby was up to. These leaders put a stop to allowing the noun "Jew" to be in the same sentence that described wrongdoing. Never forget, Jews are smart; the Goyim are stupid.

"Also we should be mindful that a good number of Jewish people are against the carnage"

This is irrelevant simply because the percent of Jews who are against the carnage is negligible in their effect on the outcome. An analogy would be for you to say that, "Since there were American college students protesting the Vietnam War, you cannot say that Americans committed war crimes in Vietnam." I can think of a hundred other examples. Can you? I hope so. So it's a nonsensical defense of atrocity. There are an infinite numbe of examples that disprove such Jewish propaganda. Again, the Jewish Lobby is always a step ahead of the Goyim.

Hello Jim, Thank you. You have given me a lot to think about. I really appreciate your comments and the thoughtful arguments you present. I realise I was being rather naive and deserve to be taken to task.

The fact that we are caught up in a web of propaganda is all the more reason to be vigilant and coherent. I take all your arguments on board - the fact that we quibble about the "finer feelings" of Jewish communities -when the existential question is the survival of the Palestinian people on this day of the 77th anniversary of the Nakba.

My intention was never " a nonsensical defense of atrocity". Far from it, when our hearts and minds (for what it's worth) are with the suffering of the Palestinian people. And our righteous anger is with the Israeli regime and their backers and enablers, the US/West.

I agree with you 1000% percent Jim. As I’ve pointed out before, it ain’t Quakers running our government nor committing a real-time genocide.

Some Jews got their little feelings hurt by the protests. So fucking what? Are there special protections in place for Blacks? Hispanics? Asians? My gods, we still have KLAN in this country, but noooo, it’s all about “protecting” Jews.

And Susan, go ahead and call

me an antisemite and see if I give a flying fuck.
