I've been thinking of this a lot of late and will type here: How good/enlightened would it be for the POTUS to interact with her constituents by re-engaging FDR's weekly "fireside chats"?
Those chats sound wonderful. But there is no need to be pressie to do them. We can start anytime we get enough people. I do think our greatest hope out of this mousetrap is through dialogue where everyone is involved. That will give us the taste of individual sovereignty, and it will open the dam as no one will want to go back. I really appreciate your encouragement! However I not just hate politics - I detest them! I think it's a dying concept too. Admittedly it's very pervasive however I am sure more people do not vote than do vote. That's meaningful but we need to do something with that.
