What a beautiful thought, what depth of feeling. Gaza was on the map thousands of years ago. That small area was called Philistia, which of course transmuted into Palestine. Then the Hebrews (they weren't Jews then) arrived, and fairly soon, apart from fighting other groups in the area, fought each other. The Hebrew Israelites, in a small area Israel, fought the other main group of Hebrews, the Judeans, in their bit called Judea. The Judeans won so by the Roman times, the area was dubbed Judea. But that was then. The Temple went, the Hebrew religion had matured, the now Jews scattered. It's culminated in the second genocide. One by the Nazis, now by the Israelis.
