This is how we could make them stay up at night - a lot of us with loans stop paying interest on those loans. Keep 50% of the saved money for yourself and give 50% of it to someone you know or some local person or organization. This will be sustaining money which will go to them every month rather than go to the banks. That will have the effect of bolstering our own lives and communities and having more people support this action. But that's if you're serious. Most other ways are lame and will do zip.

The message that I got from late Senator Carl Levin (D-Michigan) is that frequent repetition is necessary. That’s what professional lobbyists do. He said that every member of Congress probably knows what you already know. But those members of Congress will respond to whichever messages they hear most often. Most of their constituents never contact them. Many who do, don’t do so frequently.
It’s a numbers game. Every contact is noted as a kind of vote.
Levin also said to get as many other constituents to do the same.
