But now I have had my own children and now grandchildren and I see all those people in Gaza losing their children and children losing their parents and for what? So some power monger with an alcoholic wife can continue to live in luxury and feel superior. Seeing this and hearing about it now makes me feel as if I am shriveling up inside. Before it was opposing war. Now it is opposing inhumanity that I I naiively hoped had gone with the Nazis.

It wouldn't be hard to stop them or at least put a spanner in their works. But too many have no courage, they just want to be "boutique activists". This is how we could make them stay up at night - a lot of us with loans stop paying interest on those loans. Keep 50% of the saved money for yourself and give 50% of it to someone you know or some local person or organization. This will be sustaining money which will go to them every month rather than go to the banks. That will have the effect of bolstering our own lives and communities and having more people support this action. But that's if you're serious. Most other ways are lame and will do zip.

He said that every member of Congress probably knows what you already know. But those members of Congress will respond to whichever messages they hear most often. Most of their constituents never contact them. Many who do, don’t do so frequently.
It’s a numbers game. Every contact is noted as a kind of vote.
