I went to a demo today. One of the chants was "Gaza Gaza, don't you cry, we will never let you die". We won't let them die, but so many children and others die anyway. Such an empty and painful feeling. I wish our leaders could feel it. Somehow they don't. We can say they are monsters and on and on, but really, for me, I just don't really understand how so many people who could stop this vile insanity, don't.

It's a painful realization because it is very difficult to stop them when they are sociopaths and psychopaths with more money than anyone needs, who have taken power and set themselves up so that it is very difficult for anyone else to diminish them without risking imprisonment or death.

But now I have had my own children and now grandchildren and I see all those people in Gaza losing their children and children losing their parents and for what? So some power monger with an alcoholic wife can continue to live in luxury and feel superior. Seeing this and hearing about it now makes me feel as if I am shriveling up inside.
