I think it's the historic association of Jews with usury but since that's because 'we' didn't let them do much else, that's down to us. William the Conqueror, for example, brought his own Jews over to Britain to practice usury on his behalf as he didn't want his own hands dirtied by usury but he took the money off them after the usury deed! Usury must go but for its practitioners it really is the low hanging juicy delicious fruit of almost unlimited easy money. The usurers who have grown obscenely rich won't like their gargantuan free meal tickets & massive government-influencing financial powers taken off them. There's trouble whichever way one looks but hey!, all we really need do is change the money system we use over to an honest interest-free one. The usurers will then just shrivel up as they know of nothing else but [imaginary] money tainted with the truly fiendish confidence trick of charging interest on loans of [imaginary] money created at zero cost from thin air.
