I am old and do remeber an era when there were genuine Jew Haters without any reference to Israel in fact an era when Israel was still a mere idea.Those people hated and despised people of color also usually. They were what we would now call racists . Now I think it is sensible if in casual conversation with aJew to enquire what their thoughts on Israel.If they say the feel that Israel has every right to defend itself I would walk away
I recall some of those in the time you are talking about used the expression ZOG in their rants. So, there was some overlap even then. Since I have been supporting Palestinian rights for some 65 years, I couldn’t help being outraged that they seemed to be on the same side. I think, for some, their racism just allowed them to switch to being opposed to the even darker people.
