Great quote Robski, except for one issue..... i.e., it's bad MEN, and bad Women... right ? This guy forgot one half of humanity..... but He is isn't alone. Even Charles Darwin, who delivered the most accurate description of humankind ever written, wrote about 'The Descent of Man'.... The title just didn't justify his brilliant mind, but then his theories made up for omission, in spades.
I believe that back in those days, when both of them were writing, it was conventional to use the term 'man' to mean 'people'. Much like here in Portugal, where I live, if there is a group of 99 women and 1 man, the masculine plural is used. It's just a linguistic convention. Of course you get evil women - the world is full of 'em!
