Were they protesting the apartheid status of the country? Treatment of Palestine?

I believe they protesting against Netanyahu and his right wing Govt. Plus they know he wants to dismantle the Justice system. He is basically trying to keep out of prison for many nefarious dealings.

I also don't think the average Israeli likes the fact that a lot of his Govt. are Orthodox Jews.

Right. So most of those protesting, if not all, are not against the current onslaught. That's what I was getting at. That they are "monstrously evil" as the OP put it.

I heard an interview with a friend of a Canadian/Jewish human rights worker who died on October 7. She was devastated that her friend had died and also disgusted with Netanyahu's response as she felt her friend would have been as well.

The Israeli’s probably killed her. They killed most of those who died on Oct 6th. Still, I’m sad for her death. Human rights workers are angels.

From Ponsonby's "Falsehood in Wartime":

"There are lies emanating from the inherent unreliability and fallibility of human testimony. No two people can relate the occurrence of a street accident so as to make the two stories tally. When bias and emotion are introduced, human testimony becomes quite valueless. In war-time such testimony is accepted as conclusive. The scrappiest and most unreliable evidence is sufficient - "the friend of the brother of a man who was killed", or, as a German investigator of his own liars puts it, "somebody who had seen it", or, "an extremely respectable old woman".

I think they are against the onslaught. Most people want to live without fear this includes probably a huge bunch of Israelis.

Can you HEAR me. They were against Net. who started this catastrophe. He has been in power now for what 17yrs?

He did nothing about the settlers/tried to change the Court system etc.

He and his right wing Orthodox Jews are the ones you should be angry with.

You did not read correctly and I know it's difficult.

They are against the current conflict (use your brain)!

What is OP?

Many people in Israel do not like Netanyahu.

Why? Because Net. has been indicted on many crimes. He is trying to stay out of prison. He also wanted to change the Judiciary the Israeli people were against this.

Do you know about Orthodox Jews? If you don't then take the time to look it up before you make stupid comments.

I suggest you do not make comments here until you take the time to look up and read about Israel!

Not sure but they certainly don't like Netanyahu and the Orthodox Jews who sit at home producing more and more children using women as breeding machines and don't have to fight wars.

if they want to protest in support of the Palestinians, they will be arrested. It is illegal in Israel. In Germany too, it seems.

I have to say one thing about Germany.

Please try and put yourselves in their shoes.

Most of the people living there now were not alive during the Holocaust. They know full well what happened and what was done.

I don't think it is the German people making it illegal to support Palestine any more than it is the people of Israel making it illegal there. The holocaust left scars on many people, worse for those in Germany and Poland. It left scars on the people of the world. The present (and maybe the past) leaders of the world seem to have learned nothing from it.
