It's clear to me that the Abrahamic tradition of Eye-of-Sauron monster gods is the Mother of all Psy-Ops. Absolutely nothing compares to its psychic power, even after the rather withering onslaught of the half-millenium Enlightenment.
They have quite a vice grip on most Western cultures. I ENVY Europe because Thoth bless them ( ! ) they're pursuing a secular mindset / way of life. They are shaking the shackles of archaic belief systems. That isn't a SMALL ACHIEVEMENT. The 1st sentient AI will question most human belief systems, as will any possible ETs whose attention is attracted to us, for some reason.

Yup. I'm not looking forward to AI proliferation. I think this will be more quickly dangerous than anything else possibly coming (potential WWIII and nuclear/bio/etc warfare; (economic) totalitarianism; climate; etc.). In response, I'm soberly thinking of how, in the near future, I best complete a "recording" of my life and its meaning for posterity while also helping others through it. The party's over.
Even if we have trouble, & heaven knows we will, we will have to leave this poor abused planet if we expect the species to survive. Expecting a Roddenberry - esque Utopia : I rather doubt that's gonna happen. I have high hopes for space AS LONG AS we don't muck it up beyond hope. Practopia.
Our DNA AND our evolutionary heritage is that of explorers & discoverers. Perhaps we can explore, settle space & manage to TRY to restore Earth. Or keep further damage from happening. NB : I haven't been in sync with everyone here, but this is a SPIRITED discussion. KUDOS TO US ALL !

Leave Space alone. It might be the only thing left which can bring back nature on this planet.
