The US is not only giving a green light to Israel to bomb Rafah; it built the car that the Israelis are sitting in. They made the car to both start a wider war with Iran (for the MIC, instability, control, to weaken China) as well as to flattened Gaza to get at the gas.
The PR and stage management makes it looks like the US has managed to avert a terrible wider war by reluctantly (haha) sacrificing Palestinians.
Before the CIA/Israeli attack on the Iranian Embassy the optics for what the US and Israel were doing in Gaza were awful.
Look how they now seem (to the ignorant- ie a lot of people) to be saving the world from 'WWIII', 'nuclear armageddon' and 'the end of the world' by killing more brown people and still getting the gas.
