"Perhaps you can take up that slack and propose the solution?"

I have many times on this blog. Revolution.

If you are saying that the only way to help the Palestinians is through revolution, then I would suggest that a public forum, such as this substack blog, is probably not the place to plot that.

Additionally, the more people who are informed, aware and outraged, by what is going on, may actually be a prerequisite for what you advocate. In which case, it might make sense to assist in this learning process. Doing so would not prevent you from continuing to do whatever it is you do that you believe is bringing about your preferred solution. Alienating those who come here seems unlikely to attract followers.

Gee, yeah, think. I have no intention of doing so.

Anyone who does not already know the dire situation the United States and Western Civilization are in will be no help in a solution.

"Alienating those who come here seems unlikely to attract followers."

If anyone is being alienated by my comments, they are not in touch with reality...they are virtue signaling.

Throughout human history the only real changes have come wrapped in violence because those in power will NEVER give back the power they have acquired. One would think , after centuries of this we would know better. Nope, but we do have very improved methods of killing and propaganda to hide it behind.

If I was in my eighties I don't think I'd be spending my final moments on this earth actively following people who write things on the internet and bitching at them for writing things on the internet.

As I approach my eighties, it's that or walk the dog. ;-)

Well, I suppose there's a difference between "bitching about it" and "asking for a solution". Which may sound like the same thing.

This Norman Finkelstein interview is extremely distressing.

I posted it on this thread already but want to make sure you see it.

Realist is right about "talk being cheap" but he sounds more like the old, "Get off my lawn" codger.

OTOH, I don't have a clue about what to do. Saying you want a revolution is a long, long, long way from making it happen.

The only way to make revolution happen is to work toward snapping the public out of the propaganda-induced trance which manipulates them into believing revolution is not necessary. This can be done here and now, with the resources we have right in front of us. I say this over and over and over again, in as many ways as I can think of, but people have trouble hearing me because it's not the sort of answer they've been conditioned to listen for.

Caitlin, I don't come here for solutions, I come here to try to keep sane. I was surrounded by Zios yesterday at our city council meeting, and we all know how delusional they are. They're also all over YouTube, and my posts lambasting Israel on Facebook get literally no response, even though my feed is overwhelmingly so-called leftists. I demonstrate and do banner drops, and if anyone has any other ideas I'll do those as well, but for now that's what I have, and I come here to be among sane people who call a genocide a genocide. Thank you for your work and for helping me keep going without succumbing to dismay and paralysis.

If I really cared about all the injustice. I wouldn't waste my time pissing and moaning about it. I would promote a solution. Talk is cheap. Action speaks louder than words.

So, get out there and start acting! Are you involved with a group/cell/party that is actively discussing their options and planning on their steps toward Revolution? If not, you're just wasting your time, Old Fart. Shuffle on back to the nursing home cafeteria and have another bowl of ice cream. (See how insulting people doesn't really draw them to the cause you supposedly want them to support?) Follow that old saying: "Shit or get off of the pot." Or in your case, turn off the computer and stop reading intelligent commentary online.

"You say you want a revolution Well, you know We all wanna change the world

You tell me that it's evolution Well, you know We all wanna change the world

...

You say you got a real solution Well, you know We'd all love to see the plan

You ask me for a contribution Well, you know We're all doin' what we can"

This man is 80)yrs old so is my husband.

We go to protests but there is only a certain time we can stay.

WE are not young.

We (most of us) have been in prisons for fighting wars and nuclear weapons.

PLEASE do NOT assume every person is young.

OK, how do you propose that this solution be accomplished? Be concrete and specific. Otherwise, it's as realistic as expecting consciousness-raising or mindfulness to fix our problems for us.

He uses others’ quotes as a way to pad his reply and then instead of saying something cogent and insightful, an anticlimactic one liner that Beavis and Butthead could have better articulated comes out of him.. and then one wonders why Palestinians are slaughtered with impunity.. we have such brilliant minds as this guy and his crowd taking up unnecessary space on earth..

This guy is not in his eighties.. he thinks he can add a luster of wisdom by claiming to be older or just to be a contrarian when someone called out his sloppy basement dwelling antics.. you know what, ‘realist’? You should go start the revolution that you propose. Go have a chat with Biden and snap your fingers so he’ll follow. Don’t think of protesting in the streets as that is an otherwise loud and visible form of moaning.. don’t try to start publishing material that would influence others to change their opinion and their votes. Don’t chat to your friends & family (assuming you have any) to make a step towards changing the narrative because that would be virtue signaling. All of this is bluster not befitting of your station.. not worthy of your imminence. Just go sit down with Biden, take Netanyahoo aside and tell them how it is. Then come back and report to us. We are all waiting breathlessly for you to save the world. Oh and lest you respond with a foul mouthed comment in the form of a measly one-liner (that arthritis is a bitch, otherwise you’d be typing a treatise), please save whatever energy you have left to sway your fellow octogenarian, Genocide Joe, to change his ways. You’re the man and humanity is relying on you. Now, scuttle along and don’t come back till you’ve sparked the revolution or arm wrestled the big pubahs into submission.. attah boy.

You have an uncanny knack for being stupid.

" Go have a chat with Biden and snap your fingers so he’ll follow."

This comment proves my point above. Anyone so goddamn dumb as to believe that Biden has any power or control is just full of shit.

"Don’t think of protesting in the streets as that is an otherwise loud and visible form of moaning.. don’t try to start publishing material that would influence others to change their opinion and their votes."

Again and again, you prove my point...you are stupid. The Deep State doesn't give a crap about protests or the opinion of the proles. 'VOTE'? Voting has changed nothing for decades. The Deep State is in it for all the marbles.

Speaking of wisdom...you are devoid.

Well, then Mr Realist, what is your realist solution? Since you live in the world of reality and we’re all in an alternative reality. Propose. Or are you just going to cuss your way through an answer.. seems your eighty years on earth have provided you with nothing but empty one liners (& plenty of bitterness). Like one of your fellow elders succinctly put it: Sad.

I am afraid you are right (afraid: the revolution eats their children!), it seems totally hopeless - as I mentioned yesterday, I am reading Joan Roelofs book 'The Trillion Dollar Silencer' which explains in details and with numbers how entrenched the DoD MONEY is in the US society so NOBODY is interested in an anti-war movement (and being European I am afraid that they infected - mainly the Germans - with this business model (wir muessen Kriegstuechtig werden - we must be fit for war)!
