But whatever supporters Navalny had within Russia, could also be used to try and gin-up another weak "color revolution" attempt - just like they tried to do, back when he was sent back to jail, for violating his parole. That was an annoyance at most, within the Kremlin - but it was magnified and amplified here in the Western Media.
Look at the nightmare they created in Iran, over the ODD death of that cancer patient, who didn't wear her scarf correctly. The facts are irrelevant. In that case, she just collapsed in a police station - untouched. But everyone was TOLD that she was beaten and tortured to death - like she was Gonzalo Lira. The CIA has their people and information networks set-up and ready to amplify the lies, internally AND internationally. And pretty soon you have a series of externally-orchestrated events occurring within the targeted country.
I wouldn't immediately dismiss the possibility that this might be attempted in Russia. I doubt it will have much success... But there's plenty of Black OPS and USAID/NED money to throw at things like this, too.

They might try and I think I saw somewhere warnings from authorities in Moscow(?) for folks not to come out for any unauthorized demos.
Even if someone decides to show up, in the current situation with Ukraine etc, it'll be dealt with rather forcefully and without ceremony.
